Day 4, Tuesday 11 September : Maryborough to Hervey Bay 57km or 89km
Rise and shine - we're off to the beach! A short day with pretty flat terrain so you will have plenty of energy and time to check-out all that Hervey Bay has to offer. The campsite doesn't open until 12noon so take your time, relax and maybe dip your toes in the water at the rest stop site in Dundowran Beach before heading off again for the final approach to the jewel of Queensland’s crown - Hervey Bay.
Have a whale of a time
Day 5, Wednesday 12 September : Hervey Bay Rest Day 0km
A rest day in Hervey Bay is the perfect antidote to melt away even the most ardent stress levels and to ease those aches and pains. Book yourself a Rest Day Tour and experience a whale watching cruise and catch sight of the gentle giants of the sea closer than you ever thought possible or enjoy a day trip to the World Heritage listed Fraser Island to discover the natural delights of the island. Is there a pub in the scrub?
Day 6, Thursday 13 September : Hervey Bay to Tiaro 88km
Another great day in the saddle as we depart Hervey Bay and head South to the quiet country town of Tiaro. It’s one of those towns you roar past on your way up or down the coast but is well worth a look – here is your chance!
